I knew you could! Mike, just how much more productive does a minimum wage employee become for an inflated dog biscuit? Is there any greater value imparted to the widget he makes? ANy higer value created by his trimming hedges or blowing leaves? Any greater value or increase in volume of production implicit in his incremental element of production?

Then what real impact do we see? For the older workers and retirees whose savings become worth less, because "stuff costs more" and the buying power of the dollars they save up is diminshed. For the kids looking for after school jobs, those will be fewer, without exemptions to allow a less than minimum wage for them. For the impoverished, the impact on the corporate bottom line will reduce the ability to be hired.
Paradoxically, the Dems quid pro quo for labor unions will hurt the elderly, minorities, women and children the most.
